The current administration is still better than the alternatives offered. Nader's a smart guy, but he's out here in left field with the rest of us - not presidential material. I'll withhold my Kerry opinions.

I still think y'all ought to find some way to elect me as President.

Respectfully, I'll be the first to admit that my opinion of Bush has diminished over the last few months. That said, I also still feel that the public has been brainwashed by the media, and a lot of wrongful blame has been placed on this administration. Consider all the things that have happened in the last four years - beyond the terrorist attacks, the cost of which makes the funding for the war a drop in the bucket - such as the West Coast dock strikes, the Northeast power outtage, the mess left by the Clinton administration, the spinelessness of the UN, and the overwhelming backlash from a nations that initially supported the invasion of Iraq, now stabbing us in the back. Would you like to try and imagine what Al Gore would have done under those circumstances? &lt;shudder&gt; In hindsight, I agree that we should have left well enough alone in Iraq this time. This administration has had more tough choices put in front of it than any other since the birth of our country. In that respect, we could have done a lot worse. At this time, I honestly don't think we have any better options. In choosing the lesser of two evils, I'm going with the devil we know.

By comparison, I gave Kerry the benefit of a doubt with the way early reports had him shifting on many of the issues. So, I did some research. What a waste of time - his own adds contradict the bullshit he spews at his rallies. He has no one firm standing on anything that I can tell, and therefore I can put absolutely no trust in him, not even to sell ketchup.

Good ol' Ralph has plenty of nice things to say, and much of it appeals to me. But like I said, putting him in the oval office is like putting a square peg in a round hole.

There's a lot more to what formed my opinions than this, but that's the jist of it. I'm not lobbying for anybody, just so you know. I would, however, encourage all of us here to drop the presidential condemnation and take the time to study up on your senators and congressmen that are running this year. The president is, after all, more of a figurehead now than ever before, and the other two branches are responsible for the problems we have, too.

You can't even cite the "good" they have done, and you resort to attacking the previous administration and Al Gore without specifics or evidence.
